I’ve been working as a documentary photographer since 2010 and have photographed weddings all over the UK since 2012. There is literally no better place to use the skills that I have built up than on a wedding day – there is such a rich tapestry of emotion, laughter, excitement and anticipation to work with. I live in London but of course travel much further afield for weddings.
To put your wedding album together I will photograph looking for the following things: images that set the scene of each part of the day, images that show relationships, personalities, joyful moments, humour, as well as portraits and beautiful details. I put a huge amount of time into the editing and the post-production of the photographs to create a set of vivid images that tells the story of your day from start to finish.
If I had to describe my photography I would say that I shoot with a personable approach and use a classic documentary style. What this essentially means is that while I will take care to photograph a set of lovely formal portraits of yourselves and your family, I will tend not to do much direction outside of these moments so I can focus on carefully documenting the natural moments of your wedding as they unfold. Have a look at my wedding photography portfolio or my featured weddings for some examples.
Having photographed many weddings already, I’m very good at anticipating what will happen and making sure I’m in the right position to be able to capture it when it does. I’ve been honing these skills since I graduated with Distinction in 2012 from the London College of Communication’s internationally-recognised Photojournalism and Documentary Photography MA.
Additionally to photographing weddings I’ve worked as a London based events photographer since 2012. I’m represented by the Raccoon London event photography agency, with whom I have worked since 2014, and regularly photograph events for a mixture of private clients, PR agencies, the Barbican and the Church of England.
